NoveList recommends books for YOU. Just enter the title of a book you liked, and Novelist will help you find more books like it. This resource is provided by Seattle Public Library.
Students can access NoveList through their Clever account or by clicking this link. To log in, you can use your personal Seattle Public Library card, or you can use Library Link, which all student have. Library Link: Your barcode is 990000 followed by your 7-digit student ID number (i.e. 990000#######). Student ID numbers can be found on the Source or on a progress report. Your PIN is your birthdate in mmdd format. Do not include the year. (Ex. April 3rd = 0403) |
Social Justice Reading Lists
I will rotate a variety of reading lists that pertain to social justice here. If your family finds a list that you think is helpful to supplement what's already here, please email it to me! For the moment I am featuring three lists connected to the upsurge in the BLM movement and one list for Pride month.
First, here is the BLM reading list created by SPS librarians. The Conscious Kid offers this list of books that celebrate black boys and men:
